Flashpoint Academy is a two-year, high-end, direct-to-industry college focusing exclusively on four digital disciplines – film/broadcast, recording arts, broadcast, animation/visual effects and computer game development. Our state-of-the-art facilities include cinema/sound/game/animation labs, recording/sound design studios, Foley studio, film/sound editing suites, Synth sound suite, directing/lighting stage, screening room, information commons, motion-capture studio, advanced technology conference studio and student lounges. Our newest facility located at The Merchandise Mart has a full broadcast stage and insert and film stages as well as next generation motion capture systems, digital instruction venue, and collaborative work environments. Flashpoint Studios works with industry groups, employers, advertising and interactive agencies, start-ups, new technology companies and state and government agencies to provide digital resources and support in a number of different projects.
