Open Enrollment
Begin courses anytime and study when it best fits your schedule. At CSU, there are no predetermined semester or session dates to contend with.
Transfer Credit
CSU allows maximum transfer credit for your prior academic credit, training, and relevant professional licenses and certifications. Up to 75 percent of undergraduate courses and 50 percent of graduate courses can be transferred into your degree program at CSU.
Self Paced Programs
With CSU, you can set your own pace for completing your degree program. Students are allowed 10 weeks to complete each course, but may finish a course in as little as three weeks depending on how quickly you complete the coursework. Following the required Student Orientation course, you are also given the option to complete one course at a time or two courses simultaneously.
Flexible Learning
Forget the days of scheduled online sessions and on-site test taking! At CSU residency is not a requirement and course work can be completed at times that are most convenient for you. Faculty and staff offer flexible individualized instruction designed to provide each student with the guidance and support necessary for successful course completion.
Evaluation
CSU will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your application and within seven to ten business days we will prepare a detailed evaluation report. This report will outline those courses we have determined you should take and those which we have accepted transfer credit.

Tuition Assistance, DANTES and VA Benefits
Tuition Assistance is available to all Active Duty, Active Guard/Reserve, and Military and Civilian personnel of the Army National Guard, through the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), which qualifies active duty military personnel for tuition reimbursement. CSU is approved for Veteran’s Educational Benefits. Eligible participants may apply for benefits by calling the VA office or using their website.
Accreditation
CSU is an accredited member of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) (1601 18th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20009; 5100). The Accrediting Commission of the Distance and Training Council is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency and is a recognized member of the Council for higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The Board of Certified Safety Professionals will recognize CSU degrees for the application process under the both the Associate Safety Professional designation and the Certified Safety Professional designation.
